Poison Ivy Card Game

$20.00

We are making a few prototype decks of our educational card game, Poison Ivy, available to the public. These decks were developed as a proof of concept, but have proved so popular that we decided to make the few remaining copies available. Poison Ivy is a card game to teach plant identification through image recognition. All Poison Ivy games have a visual identification step where the players must identify the card(s) in play. Playing Poison Ivy is one of the best way to
learn the basics of plant identification.

A deck consist of 72 cards with photographs of Maples, Oaks, Pines,
Hickories and Poison Ivy plants. The cards are arranged in four suits (the
plant types), plus eight wild cards (the poison ivy cards). Although the suits
are not identified on the front of the cards, there are hidden codes in the
upper right and lower left corners of the back that allow the cards to be identified.

The game comes with a deck of cards, a hand-made box, and instructions
for six games. The deck can be used to play many other games than those
included in the instruction set. The only limit is your imagination.

Because Poison Ivy is in the prototype stage, it comes in simple packaging, with the game rules printed on 8½ by 11 paper. The deck is not suitable for those with red/green color blindness.
